In order to create variants for a Product in Shopify, you have to go to a Product and then Variants section.
Click on "+ Add options like size or color". Type the option name as you wish, we will use "Options" as the sample. Add the option values and click on Done.
Variants will be added now. Once the variants are added, you can Edit the SKU's for variants, which will be used for accurate quoting and the same can be configured in FreightExchange system.
On Shopify website, the product will be displayed as below:
